The Gita · Chapter 11

Bhagavad Gita 11.14

ततः स विस्मयाविष्टो हृष्टरोमा धनञ्जयः। प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं कृताञ्जलिरभाषत॥

tataḥ sa vismayāviṣhṭo hṛiṣhṭa-romā dhanañjayaḥ praṇamya śhirasā devaṁ kṛitāñjalir abhāṣhata

Translation

Then he, Dhananjaya, overwhelmed with astonishment, his hair upstanding, bowed down his head to the Shining One, and with joined palms spake.

What it means

Overwhelmed with wonder, hair standing on end, Arjuna bowed his head and spoke with folded palms. Awe converts instantly into worship. The body answers before the mind can compose a sentence.

Try this today

The body's honest response to overwhelming reality: awe before analysis.

Something to reflect on

When did my body answer before my mind - awe, terror, love?
