The Gita · Chapter 11

Bhagavad Gita 11.27

वक्त्राणि ते त्वरमाणा विशन्ति दंष्ट्राकरालानि भयानकानि। केचिद्विलग्ना दशनान्तरेषु संदृश्यन्ते चूर्णितैरुत्तमाङ्गैः॥

vaktrāṇi te tvaramāṇā viśanti daṁṣṭrā-karālāni bhayānakāni kecid vilagnā daśanāntareṣu sandṛśyante cūrṇitair uttamāṅgaiḥ

Translation

Into Thy gaping mouths they hurrying rush, Tremendous-toothed and terrible to see; Some caught within the gaps between Thy teeth Are seen, their heads to powder crushed and ground.

What it means

They rush into Your dreadful mouths, terrible with tusks; some are seen caught between Your teeth, their heads crushed to powder. The image is merciless. Time is already eating what war has not yet reached.

Try this today

The fate made visible: the warriors already rushing into destruction.

Something to reflect on

What is already being consumed by time while I deliberate?
