The Gita · Chapter 11

Bhagavad Gita 11.36

arjuna uvācha sthāne hṛiṣhīkeśha tava prakīrtyā jagat prahṛiṣhyaty anurajyate cha rakṣhānsi bhītāni diśho dravanti sarve namasyanti cha siddha-saṅghāḥ

Translation

Arjuna said: Hrishîkesha! in Thy magnificence Rightly the world rejoiceth, hymning Thee; The Râkshasas to every quarter fly In fear; the hosts of Siddhas prostrate fall.

What it means

Rightly does the world rejoice and delight in Your glory; demons flee in all directions, and the hosts of the perfected bow down. Arjuna's tone shifts from terror to vindication. The universe's mixed reaction is itself evidence.

Try this today

The world's reaction is justified, Arjuna affirms - joy from the aligned, flight from the opposed.

Something to reflect on

When has vindication replaced terror for me - 'of course it had to be this way'?
