The Gita · Chapter 11

Bhagavad Gita 11.40

नमः पुरस्तादथ पृष्ठतस्ते नमोऽस्तु ते सर्वत एव सर्व। अनन्तवीर्यामितविक्रमस्त्वं सर्वं समाप्नोषि ततोऽसि सर्वः॥

namaḥ purastād atha pṛiṣhṭhatas te namo ’stu te sarvata eva sarva ananta-vīryāmita-vikramas tvaṁ sarvaṁ samāpnoṣhi tato ’si sarvaḥ

Translation

Prostrate in front of Thee, prostrate behind; Prostrate on every side to Thee, O All. In power boundless, measureless in strength, Thou holdest all: then Thou Thyself art All.

What it means

Salutations before You, behind You, on every side, O All; infinite in power, immeasurable in strength, You complete all things, therefore You are All. Direction loses meaning when the object is everywhere. Worship becomes spherical.

Try this today

The conclusion of the logic: what completes everything is everything.

Something to reflect on

If what completes everything is everything, where is outside?
