The Gita · Chapter 14

Bhagavad Gita 14.22

Translation

The Blessed Lord said: He, O Pândava, who hateth not radiance, nor outgoing energy, nor even delusion, when present, nor longeth after them, absent;

What it means

One who does not hate illumination, activity or delusion when they arise, nor longs for them when absent. The first sign is non-reactivity to one's own states. The gunas may come and go; the person stops keeping score.

Try this today

The first mark: neither resenting a bad inner state nor clinging to a good one.

Something to reflect on

Can I let a bad inner state pass without hating it, and a good one without clinging?
