The Gita · Chapter 16

Bhagavad Gita 16.20

असुरीं योनिमापन्ना मूढा जन्मनि जन्मनि।मामप्राप्यैव कौन्तेय ततो यान्त्यधमां गतिम्॥

āsurīṁ yonim āpannā mūḍhā janmani janmani mām aprāpyaiva kaunteya tato yānty adhamāṁ gatim

Translation

Cast into demoniacal wombs, deluded birth after birth, attaining not to Me, O Kaunteya, they sink into the lowest depths.

What it means

Born into demonic wombs, deluded birth after birth, never reaching Me, they sink to the lowest condition. The decline has momentum. Direction, once set, compounds unless something interrupts it.

Try this today

The spiral described: each cycle deepening the groove.

Something to reflect on

What groove in me deepens with each repetition unless something interrupts it?
