The Gita · Chapter 18

Bhagavad Gita 18.26

मुक्तसङ्गोऽनहंवादी धृत्युत्साहसमन्वितः।सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्योर्निर्विकारः कर्ता सात्त्विक उच्यते॥

mukta-saṅgo ‘nahaṁ-vādī dhṛity-utsāha-samanvitaḥ siddhy-asiddhyor nirvikāraḥ kartā sāttvika uchyate

Translation

Liberated from attachment, not egoistic, endued with firmness and confidence, unchanged by success or failure, that actor is called pure.

What it means

Free of attachment, not egoistic, endowed with firmness and zeal, unshaken in success or failure: that actor is called sattvic. The pure doer is steady before and after the result. Equanimity survives both outcomes.

Try this today

Sattvic doer: the steadiness specification - firm, hopeful, result-proof.

Something to reflect on

Does my steadiness survive both outcomes - success and failure alike?
