Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 18

Bhagavad Gita 18.30

प्रवृत्तिं च निवृत्तिं च कार्याकार्ये भयाभये।बन्धं मोक्षं च या वेत्ति बुद्धिः सा पार्थ सात्त्विकी॥

pravṛittiṁ cha nivṛittiṁ cha kāryākārye bhayābhaye bandhaṁ mokṣhaṁ cha yā vetti buddhiḥ sā pārtha sāttvikī

Translation

That which knoweth energy and abstinence, what ought to be done and what ought not to be done, fear and fearlessness, bondage and liberation, that Reason is pure, O Pârtha.

What it means

That which knows action and restraint, what should be done and not done, fear and fearlessness, bondage and liberation: that intellect is sattvic. Pure discernment is directional: it can tell freedom from bondage. The highest intelligence knows the exit.

Try this today

Sattvic judgment: knowing when to move, when to stop, what to fear, what frees.

Something to reflect on

Can my judgment tell bondage from freedom - and does it pick freedom?
