Bhagavad Gita 18.4
निश्चयं श्रृणु मे तत्र त्यागे भरतसत्तम।त्यागो हि पुरुषव्याघ्र त्रिविधः संप्रकीर्तितः॥
niśhchayaṁ śhṛiṇu me tatra tyāge bharata-sattama tyāgo hi puruṣha-vyāghra tri-vidhaḥ samprakīrtitaḥ
Translation
Hear my conclusions as to that relinquishment, O best of the Bhâratas; since relinquishment, O tiger of men, has been explained as threefold.
What it means
Hear now My conclusion about relinquishment, best of Bharatas, for relinquishment has been declared to be of three kinds. The teacher's verdict is coming, through the guna lens. Even giving up has sattvic, rajasic and tamasic forms.
Try this today
Krishna takes the arbiter's seat: the answer will come in the three-quality frame.
Something to reflect on
When I give something up, which kind of giving-up is it - clear, grasping or foggy?
