The Gita · Chapter 18

Bhagavad Gita 18.57

चेतसा सर्वकर्माणि मयि संन्यस्य मत्परः।बुद्धियोगमुपाश्रित्य मच्चित्तः सततं भव॥

chetasā sarva-karmāṇi mayi sannyasya mat-paraḥ buddhi-yogam upāśhritya mach-chittaḥ satataṁ bhava

Translation

Renouncing mentally all works in Me, intent on Me, resorting to the yoga of discrimination, have thy thought ever on Me.

What it means

Renouncing all actions in Me with the mind, intent on Me, taking refuge in the yoga of discernment, think of Me always. The whole Gita's practice is compressed: dedicate, discern, remember. Three habits to carry everywhere.

Try this today

The working instruction: hand the works over mentally, keep the discrimination sharp, hold the thought.

Something to reflect on

Which of the three habits - dedicate, discern, remember - did I drop first?
