Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 18

Bhagavad Gita 18.58

मच्चित्तः सर्वदुर्गाणि मत्प्रसादात्तरिष्यसि।अथ चेत्त्वमहङ्कारान्न श्रोष्यसि विनङ्क्ष्यसि॥

mach-chittaḥ sarva-durgāṇi mat-prasādāt tariṣhyasi atha chet tvam ahankārān na śhroṣhyasi vinaṅkṣhyasi

Translation

Thinking on Me, thou shalt overcome all obstacles by My grace: but if from egoism thou wilt not listen, thou shalt be destroyed utterly.

What it means

Thinking of Me, you will cross over all obstacles by My grace; but if, from egoism, you will not listen, you will perish. The offer and the warning stand together. Help is certain; refusal has a cost.

Try this today

The fork stated plainly: the offered help works; the refusal comes from ego.

Something to reflect on

Where is my refusal to listen coming from - and what is it protecting?
