The Gita · Chapter 18

Bhagavad Gita 18.6

एतान्यपि तु कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा फलानि च।कर्तव्यानीति मे पार्थ निश्िचतं मतमुत्तमम्॥

etāny api tu karmāṇi saṅgaṁ tyaktvā phalāni cha kartavyānīti me pārtha niśhchitaṁ matam uttamam

Translation

But even these actions should be done leaving aside attachment and fruit, O Pârtha; that is my certain and best belief.

What it means

But even these actions should be performed abandoning attachment and abandoning fruits; that is My firm and highest view. The final formula repeats the Gita's core: do the purifying work, hold no claim on it. Continuance without clutching.

Try this today

The verdict's second half: keep the acts, drop the claims - the whole Gita in one verse.

Something to reflect on

Can I keep the act and drop the claim, this week, on one thing?
