Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 2

Bhagavad Gita 2.23

नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः। न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः॥

nainaṁ chhindanti śhastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ na chainaṁ kledayantyāpo na śhoṣhayati mārutaḥ

Translation

Weapons cleave him not, nor fire burneth him, nor waters wet him, nor wind drieth him away.

What it means

Weapons do not cut it, fire does not burn it, water does not wet it, wind does not dry it. Every element that harms bodies leaves the Self untouched. Fear of harm belongs to the body-identified mind.

Try this today

The Self is beyond every physical force.

Something to reflect on

What force do I believe can reach the deepest part of me - and can it really?
