The Gita · Chapter 2

Bhagavad Gita 2.50

बुद्धियुक्तो जहातीह उभे सुकृतदुष्कृते। तस्माद्योगाय युज्यस्व योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्॥

buddhi-yukto jahātīha ubhe sukṛita-duṣhkṛite tasmād yogāya yujyasva yogaḥ karmasu kauśhalam

Translation

United to the Pure Reason one abandoneth here both good and evil deeds; therefore cleave thou to yoga; yoga is skill in action.

What it means

United to discernment, one sheds both good and bad results even in this life. Yoga is skill in action. Skill here means acting so cleanly that results no longer bind you.

Try this today

A practical definition: skill in action means acting in a way that does not bind you further.

Something to reflect on

Can I do this task so cleanly that its result stops owning me?
