Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 3

Bhagavad Gita 3.15

कर्म ब्रह्मोद्भवं विद्धि ब्रह्माक्षरसमुद्भवम्। तस्मात्सर्वगतं ब्रह्म नित्यं यज्ञे प्रतिष्ठितम्॥

karma brahmodbhavaṁ viddhi brahmākṣhara-samudbhavam tasmāt sarva-gataṁ brahma nityaṁ yajñe pratiṣhṭhitam

Translation

Know thou that from Brahma action groweth, and Brahma from the Imperishable cometh. Therefore the Eternal, the all-permeating, is ever present in sacrifice.

What it means

Action arises from the Creator, the Creator from the Imperishable; therefore the all-pervading Eternal is ever present in sacrifice. Offered action is where the infinite touches the ordinary.

Try this today

The chain grounds work in the sacred: done as offering, ordinary action participates in the eternal.

Something to reflect on

Which ordinary task could become an offering rather than a chore?
