Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 3

Bhagavad Gita 3.4

Translation

Man winneth not freedom from action by abstaining from activity, nor by mere renunciation doth he rise to perfection.

What it means

No one wins freedom merely by not acting, nor perfection by mere renunciation. Escape is not achievement. What you refuse to do does not purify what you are.

Try this today

Quitting is not liberation. Avoidance looks like peace but changes nothing inside.

Something to reflect on

Where am I calling avoidance 'rest' or 'detachment'?
