The Gita · Chapter 3

Bhagavad Gita 3.7

यस्त्विन्द्रियाणि मनसा नियम्यारभतेऽर्जुन। कर्मेन्द्रियैः कर्मयोगमसक्तः स विशिष्यते॥

yas tvindriyāṇi manasā niyamyārabhate ’rjuna karmendriyaiḥ karma-yogam asaktaḥ sa viśhiṣhyate

Translation

But who, controlling the senses by the mind, O Arjuna, with the organs of action without attachment, performeth yoga by action, he is worthy.

What it means

But one who governs the senses with the mind and acts without attachment is worthy. The Gita's standard is not abstinence but engaged detachment: full action, clean motive.

Try this today

The approved model: full physical engagement, governed senses, no clinging to outcomes.

Something to reflect on

Can I be fully in this work and still not clench around its outcome?
