Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 3

Bhagavad Gita 3.8

Translation

Perform thou right action, for, action is superior to inaction, and, inactive, even the maintenance of thy body would not be possible.

What it means

Do your prescribed work, for action beats inaction; even the body cannot be maintained without action. Duty is the most practical spirituality. Life itself requires motion.

Try this today

Work is not optional even at the biological level; the question is only its quality and motive.

Something to reflect on

If even my body requires motion, what does my avoidance prove?
