Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 4

Bhagavad Gita 4.11

ये यथा मां प्रपद्यन्ते तांस्तथैव भजाम्यहम्। मम वर्त्मानुवर्तन्ते मनुष्याः पार्थ सर्वशः॥

ye yathā māṁ prapadyante tāns tathaiva bhajāmyaham mama vartmānuvartante manuṣhyāḥ pārtha sarvaśhaḥ

Translation

However men approach Me, even so do I welcome them, for the path men take from every side is Mine, O Pârtha.

What it means

In whatever way people approach Me, in that same way I reward them; men follow My path in every way. Sastri: the Lord rewards in kind, without favoritism - worship for fruits gets fruits, seeking liberation gets liberation. Not a claim that all paths are equal.

Try this today

The response meets you at your route: worship for fruits receives fruits; seeking liberation receives liberation. Sastri's reward-in-kind, not a claim that all paths are equal.

Something to reflect on

What am I actually seeking from my practice - results or liberation - and what am I getting?
