Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 4

Bhagavad Gita 4.38

न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते। तत्स्वयं योगसंसिद्धः कालेनात्मनि विन्दति॥

na hi jñānena sadṛiśhaṁ pavitramiha vidyate tatsvayaṁ yogasansiddhaḥ kālenātmani vindati

Translation

Verily there is no purifier in this world like wisdom; he that is perfected in yoga finds it in the Self in due season.

What it means

There is no purifier in this world equal to knowledge; one perfected in yoga finds it in oneself in time. Nothing external cleanses like understanding. And it is discovered inside, not imported.

Try this today

Nothing cleanses like understanding - not ritual, penance or time. And it arrives on its own schedule to the practicing person.

Something to reflect on

What am I using to cleanse - ritual, time, distraction - that only understanding can?
