Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 4

Bhagavad Gita 4.7

यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत। अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदाऽऽत्मानं सृजाम्यहम्॥

yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata abhyutthānam adharmasya tadātmānaṁ sṛijāmyaham

Translation

Whenever there is decay of righteousness, O Bhârata, and there is exaltation of unrighteousness, then I Myself come forth;

What it means

Whenever righteousness decays and unrighteousness rises, then I come forth. The promise is periodic intervention. History is not abandoned to its worst tendencies.

Try this today

The restoration principle: when the balance fails, correction arrives. Decline is not the end of the story.

Something to reflect on

When I watch things decline, do I believe correction ever arrives - through me or beyond me?
