The Gita · Chapter 6

Bhagavad Gita 6.15

युञ्जन्नेवं सदाऽऽत्मानं योगी नियतमानसः। शान्तिं निर्वाणपरमां मत्संस्थामधिगच्छति॥

yuñjann evaṁ sadātmānaṁ yogī niyata-mānasaḥ śhantiṁ nirvāṇa-paramāṁ mat-sansthām adhigachchhati

Translation

The Yogî ever united thus with the Self, with the mind controlled, goeth to Peace, to the supreme Bliss that abideth in Me.

What it means

Thus ever uniting the self with the Self, the yogi of controlled mind attains the peace, the supreme bliss, that abides in Me. The promise joins practice to a destination. Peace is located in the Divine, reached by steady union.

Try this today

The result: sustained practice converts effort into a stable peace.

Something to reflect on

Do I expect peace as a purchase or as the residue of steady repetition?
