The Gita · Chapter 6

Bhagavad Gita 6.42

अथवा योगिनामेव कुले भवति धीमताम्। एतद्धि दुर्लभतरं लोके जन्म यदीदृशम्॥

atha vā yoginām eva kule bhavati dhīmatām etad dhi durlabhataraṁ loke janma yad īdṛiśham

Translation

Or he may even be born into a family of wise Yogîs; but such a birth as that is most difficult to obtain in this world.

What it means

Or one may be born into a family of wise yogis, a birth truly hard to obtain in this world. The rarest privilege is described: to be raised where the path is the household air.

Try this today

The rarer version: rebirth straight into a practicing household - the head start of head starts.

Something to reflect on

What head start did I receive that I treat as ordinary?
