The Gita · Chapter 6

Bhagavad Gita 6.43

तत्र तं बुद्धिसंयोगं लभते पौर्वदेहिकम्। यतते च ततो भूयः संसिद्धौ कुरुनन्दन॥

tatra taṁ buddhi-sanyogaṁ labhate paurva-dehikam yatate cha tato bhūyaḥ sansiddhau kuru-nandana

Translation

There he recovereth the characteristics belonging to this former body, and with these he again laboureth for perfection, O joy of the Kurus.

What it means

There one regains the understanding from the former life and strives once more toward perfection. Progress resumes, it does not restart. The inner resume survives the transition.

Try this today

Progress persists: the next attempt resumes from the old frontier, not from zero.

Something to reflect on

Where did I resume something and find I was not starting from zero?
