Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 7

Bhagavad Gita 7.15

न मां दुष्कृतिनो मूढाः प्रपद्यन्ते नराधमाः। माययापहृतज्ञाना आसुरं भावमाश्रिताः॥

na māṁ duṣhkṛitino mūḍhāḥ prapadyante narādhamāḥ māyayāpahṛita-jñānā āsuraṁ bhāvam āśhritāḥ

Translation

The evil-doing, the deluded, the vilest men, they come not to Me, they whose wisdom is destroyed by illusion, who have embraced the nature of demons.

What it means

Evildoers, the deluded, the lowest of mortals do not come to Me, their wisdom stolen by illusion, taking on a demonic nature. Refusal has a character cost. Turning away from the good is itself the punishment.

Try this today

Why some never turn: wisdom itself can be lost through sustained wrong orientation.

Something to reflect on

Has turning away from the good ever been its own punishment in my life?
