The Gita · Chapter 7

Bhagavad Gita 7.26

Translation

I know the beings that are past, that are present, that are to come, O Arjuna, but no one knoweth Me.

What it means

I know the beings of the past, present and future; but no one knows Me. Asymmetry defines the relationship: total knowledge on one side, partial on the other. The knower cannot be made into an item of knowledge.

Try this today

Asymmetry of knowledge: the knower of all is known by none through ordinary means.

Something to reflect on

What do I know completely versus partially - and where do I confuse the two?
