The Gita · Chapter 8

Bhagavad Gita 8.8

अभ्यासयोगयुक्तेन चेतसा नान्यगामिना। परमं पुरुषं दिव्यं याति पार्थानुचिन्तयन्॥

abhyāsa-yoga-yuktena chetasā nānya-gāminā paramaṁ puruṣhaṁ divyaṁ yāti pārthānuchintayan

Translation

With the mind not wandering after aught else, harmonised by continual practice, constantly meditating, O Pârtha, one goeth to the Spirit supreme, divine.

What it means

With a mind not straying to anything else, trained by constant practice, meditating ever, one reaches the supreme divine Spirit. Habit is the hidden engine. What is practiced daily is remembered finally.

Try this today

Practice converts intention into trajectory: what you repeat becomes where you arrive.

Something to reflect on

What am I practicing daily without meaning to - and where is it taking me?
