Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 9

Bhagavad Gita 9.19

तपाम्यहमहं वर्षं निगृह्णाम्युत्सृजामि च। अमृतं चैव मृत्युश्च सदसच्चाहमर्जुन॥

tapāmyaham ahaṁ varṣhaṁ nigṛihṇāmyutsṛijāmi cha amṛitaṁ chaiva mṛityuśh cha sad asach chāham arjuna

Translation

I give heat; I hold back and send forth the rain; immortality and also death, being and non-being am I, Arjuna.

What it means

I give heat; I hold back and release the rain; I am immortality and also death, being and non-being both. The opposites are gathered into one identity. Nothing falls outside the source, including what we fear.

Try this today

The final inclusiveness: both members of every ultimate pair are held in one.

Something to reflect on

Can I hold that even what I fear belongs to the same source as what I love?
