Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 9

Bhagavad Gita 9.27

यत्करोषि यदश्नासि यज्जुहोषि ददासि यत्। यत्तपस्यसि कौन्तेय तत्कुरुष्व मदर्पणम्॥

yat karoṣhi yad aśhnāsi yaj juhoṣhi dadāsi yat yat tapasyasi kaunteya tat kuruṣhva mad-arpaṇam

Translation

Whatsoever thou doest, whatsoever thou eatest, whatsoever thou offerest, whatsoever thou givest, whatsoever thou doest of austerity, O Kaunteya, do thou that as an offering unto Me.

What it means

Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give, whatever austerity you perform: do it as an offering to Me. No special inventory is required. The whole of ordinary life becomes liturgy.

Try this today

The whole-life consecration: nothing is too ordinary to be converted into offering. The method needs no new activities.

Something to reflect on

Which utterly ordinary act today could I convert into an offering?
