The Gita · Chapter 9

Bhagavad Gita 9.28

शुभाशुभफलैरेवं मोक्ष्यसे कर्मबन्धनैः। संन्यासयोगयुक्तात्मा विमुक्तो मामुपैष्यसि॥

śhubhāśhubha-phalair evaṁ mokṣhyase karma-bandhanaiḥ sannyāsa-yoga-yuktātmā vimukto mām upaiṣhyasi

Translation

Thus shalt thou be liberated from the bonds of action, yielding good and evil fruits; thyself harmonised by the yoga of renunciation, thou shalt come unto Me when set free.

What it means

Thus you will be freed from the bonds of action with their good and evil fruits; harmonized by the yoga of renunciation, liberated, you will come to Me. Offering is the mechanism of release. What is given away cannot bind.

Try this today

The result: consecrated action stops generating chains in both directions - good and bad.

Something to reflect on

What would I do differently if neither the praise nor the blame could stick?
