The Gita · Chapter 9

Bhagavad Gita 9.3

अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परन्तप। अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि॥

aśhraddadhānāḥ puruṣhā dharmasyāsya parantapa aprāpya māṁ nivartante mṛityu-samsāra-vartmani

Translation

Men without faith in this knowledge, O Parantapa, not reaching Me, return to the paths of this world of death.

What it means

Those without faith in this dharma, not reaching Me, return to the path of mortal existence. Faith here means willingness to test the teaching. Refusal to try is the only failure mode named.

Try this today

Without trust the door stays closed - not as punishment but as mechanics: the path requires the step.

Something to reflect on

What door in my life is closed only by my refusal to try it?
