The Gita · Chapter 9

Bhagavad Gita 9.4

मया ततमिदं सर्वं जगदव्यक्तमूर्तिना। मत्स्थानि सर्वभूतानि न चाहं तेष्ववस्थितः॥

mayā tatam idaṁ sarvaṁ jagad avyakta-mūrtinā mat-sthāni sarva-bhūtāni na chāhaṁ teṣhvavasthitaḥ

Translation

By Me all this world is pervaded in My unmanifested aspect; all beings have root in Me, I am not rooted in them.

What it means

By Me all this world is pervaded, in My unmanifest form; all beings rest in Me, but I do not rest in them. Immanence without containment. Everything is held; the Holder is free.

Try this today

Everything depends on the source; the source depends on nothing. The asymmetry of support.

Something to reflect on

What holds me up that I never think to thank?
